3 cups water (preferably filtered) 1 crushed garlic clove 1 teaspoon of grated ginger juice of half a lemon 2 tablespoons red miso a few drops of sesame oil vegetables of your choice (I use sliced mushrooms and small cubes of tofu)
Bring the water to a boil and add garlic, ginger, and vegetables. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and add lemon juice, miso, and sesame oil. Stir to dissolve the miso and serve.
